Common CCTV storage formula
Storage (TB) ≈ cameras × bitrate (Mbps) × recording hours/day × days × 0.45 ÷ 1,000, then add the selected reserve.
At 1 Mbps, a camera records about 0.45 GB per hour using decimal storage units. Network bandwidth is camera count × bitrate, plus 15% planning headroom.
